The Dayara Bugyal trek is a 5-day journey from Dehradun to Dehradun, with 4 days of actual trekking. The trek covers a distance of 25 km, reaching a maximum altitude of 3,660 meters at Bakriya Top. It’s considered an easy trek, suitable for beginners with good physical fitness.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Dehradun to Raithal

Morning: depart from Dehradun. Trekkers need to reach Dehradun on their own by 8 am.
Drive: The drive from Dehradun to Raithal is approximately 185-190 km and takes around 8-9 hours. The route passes through Mussoorie, Uttarkashi, and Bhatwari, offering scenic views of the Garhwal Himalayas, including peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, and the Gangotri range.

Evening: Arrive at Raithal, the base camp for the trek. You can witness the sunset over Mt. Bandarpoonch, Mt. Srikanth, Mt. Jaunli, and Draupadi ka Danda peaks. Stay overnight in a homestay or guest house.

Day 2 :

Raithal to Gui

Trek: Begin the trek from Raithal to Gui, which is a 4 to 4.5 km trek and takes about 3-5 hours.

Trail: The trail ascends through forests, opening up to meadows with views of Bandar Poonch and Kala Nag.

Afternoon: Arrive at Gui and camp for the night.

Day 3 :

Gui to Chilapra/Dayara Bugyal Top and Return

Trek: Trek from Gui to Chilapra, which is about 4 km and takes 2-3 hours. Alternatively, trek from Gui to Dayara Bugyal Top, which is 5.3 km one way and takes approximately 8 hours.

Dayara Bugyal Exploration: Explore the meadows. From Dayara Bugyal, you can see the mountains previously hidden from sight. The early morning views of the meadows are especially stunning. You can also visit Bakriya Top, which is 3 km from Dayara Bugyal.

Overnight: Camp in Chilapra or return to Gui for the night stay in tents.

Day 4 :

Chilapra/Gui to Barnala via Bakriya Top

Early Morning: Trek to Bakriya Top.

Descent: Descend to Barnala, which is a 12 km trek and takes about 7-8 hours.

Overnight: Camp at Barnala Tal.

Day 5 :

Barnala to Raithal to Dehradun

Morning: Trek back to Barsu, which is a 5 km trek and takes 2-3 hours. Alternatively, trek to Raithal from Gui Campsite, covering 5 km in approximately 3-4 hours.

Drive: Drive back to Dehradun from Raithal, which is a 190 km drive and takes about 8 hours. You are expected to reach Dehradun around 6:00 PM.

Evening: Arrive in Dehradun by 7 pm.

The Cost Includes

All days of the expedition include lodging.
On certain days, you will stay in a guesthouse, while on others, you will sleep in tents.
All meals are provided from breakfast on Day 1 to dinner on Day 6. Meals are straightforward, healthy, and vegetarian.
If you need it, we will provide all hiking equipment, such as a sleeping bag, cooking and dining tent, utensils, a mattress, a tent, a toilet tent, and crampons.
First-aid medical equipment, an oxygen cylinder, and a stretcher are all available.
All required forest access fees and permissions.
Your walk will be conducted by educated, experienced professional guides and trek leaders with strong guiding backgrounds, specific nature and trekking expertise, medical certificates, and an enthusiasm for leading people into spectacular terrain.

The trek cost does not include meals purchased on the first and last days of the route. Food is served from supper at the base camp on the first day to breakfast on the previous day.
Mules or porters charge fees to transport private luggage (offloading). Bag charges are Rs. 500 per day, per bag. The bag’s weight should not exceed 11 kg.
